A few pictures from our first event at the beautiful Evergreen Nature Preserve in Charlotte (our little urban haven). We were so grateful for our wonderful collaborator Jen McGivney who shared thought provoking quotes from her book FINDING YOUR WALDEN. We incorporated that into a journaling prompt zine. I’ve been wanting to design a zine for a while and this was the perfect opportunity! It was a great way for a bunch of us to get together in nature and to quote a participant “be weird together!”
What’s Next
Listening Labs is an evolving practice, shaped by place and people. Future gatherings may take the form of sound walks, music-based listening experiences, or additional walks in nature—each one different, each one rooted in the same intention: to listen in ways that make new forms of connection possible.
